Do you want to password protect this share or make it available to anyone?
If the latter, the following works for me:
[Easy]
path = /mnt/FreeForAll
read only = No
guest ok = Yes
Now, the level of access will be decided by:
What you choose for the guest user. You could create a user and group which
would make things fairly restrictive, even withou a password.
(I use ftp in my global.)
And, what permissions you have on /mnt/FreeForAll.
