The platform I am using is Windows NT4.0 Workstation connecting to a samba drive on a Unix box through explorer. The problem I am having is that the persistent connection to the samba drive does not accept the NT password at reconnection. You have to manually retype the password even though it is exactly the same (including case) as the NT one. There is no problem with NT passing through this same password to persistent Novell drive mappings. I have already tried disconnecting the drive mapping and rebooting to compensate for possible password changes. I would be very grateful if you could give me any information on this. Thank you in advance for your time.
