I have a Solaris 7 box running Samba 2.0.7. The problem is that if you try to do a directory refresh from either a win98 or win2k box it takes about 5 minutes to refresh. If all you do is open a file and edit and save then it works fine. Also, I had an access database stored on one of the samba shares and it was so slow that it was unusable and had to be moved off. The box has dual cpu's and 1.5 gig ram, so I highly doubt it is a hardware problem. Thanks, Toby Bearden Systems Administrator Soma Networks
