Marcio,
The message about port 139 already in use indicates that you have some other
product running on HP-UX that has bound to that port. You might check to
see if you are running LMX, LMU, or AS/U on that server by doing a grep for
grep -i lmx
or
grep -i lmloop

Well, i want install the samba 2.0.7 in HP-UX 10.20. The install process is

Before the install ,the smb.conf file not exist. I have to create the file,
and put this for test.

workgroup = MYGROUP
server string = Samba Server
log file = /var/log/samba/log.marcio
max log size = 50
security = user
dns proxy = no
[homes]
comment = Home Directories
browsable = no
writable = yes
and execute /sbin/init.d/samba start
the nmbd process run but the smbd process no, and the log.smb is ;

bind failed on port 139 socket_addr=0.0.0.0 (Address already in use)
How can a repair this, please.
I?m lost.
