Trying to connect to a Samba 2.0.5a server running
on Solaris 2.8. I compiled samba on this box.
I've posted to the list before the holidays and
thought I would re-post.
Scott Lawson has helped and we've looked over
the smb.conf file and it seems to pass.
I'm just trying to connect to the /tmp directory
on the Sun box and this is what the log.smb shows:
[2000/12/27 11:48:59, 0] locking/shmem_sysv.c:sysv_shm_open(597)
ERROR: root did not create the semaphore
[2000/12/27 11:48:59, 0] locking/locking.c:locking_init(174)
ERROR: Failed to initialise share modes
[2000/12/27 11:49:00, 0] locking/shmem_sysv.c:sysv_shm_open(597)
ERROR: root did not create the semaphore
[2000/12/27 11:49:00, 0] locking/locking.c:locking_init(174)
ERROR: Failed to initialise share modes
I've tried to connect to the Sun machine using the
IP address and the hostname and NT tells me the
"Remote computer is not available."
Thanks,
Daniel
