I am trying to add a samba server (running under Solaris 2.5.1) on
another subnet to the Samba PDC (running on Solaris 2.5.1-sun4), but
I am getting the follwing message:
# ./smbpasswd -j maunsell-itu -r lonr
cli_pipe: return critical error. Error was code 0
cli_pipe: return critical error. Error was code 0
modify_trust_password: unable to obtain domain sid from LONR. Error was :
code 0.
2000/12/12 14:52:04 : change_trust_account_password: Failed to change
password for domain MAUNSELL-ITU.
Unable to join domain MAUNSELL-ITU.
Can anyone give me any pointers what I need to do to correct the aboveg?
Also, I emailed the samba list on Wed, 6 Dec 2000 16:55:07 as below:

but I didn't get any response. To progress further with
samba-2.2.0-alpha1, I commented out the offending line, viz:
/* wd = conn->vfs_ops.getwd(conn,unix_path); jcb */
and compilation went through fine after that. Perhaps commenting
out the above line may be the cause of my problems. Can anyone
shed any further light on the above.
TIA
