Hi We are experiencing corruption on a shared database file over a samba network. I think the reason is because we are accessing the same file over a NFS server as well, and I don't know if the file locking is working Now my questions are: How is the locking managed between NFS and SAMBA? How can I view file locks on NFS? regards -- AJ van Staden Cyber Seal Business and Industrial Information systems Pta Office Tel: +27 12 998 5674, Pta Office Fax: +27 12 998 0249, Cell: +27 82 927 5513

The bottom line is that you should not be accessing the data using multiple protocol simultaneously.
