Setting printer driver in /etc/printcap
Hi, I found a couple of messages relating to setting the 'printer driver' statement in the printcap file.... Darrin Gorsky came up with a patch to samba version 1.9.17p4. This dated from 1998. Is this possible in the latest versions (ie. 2.0.7) or do we still need to patch it in a similar fashion? Any hope of this being added? Samba is great stuff by the way. Thanks. You can grab that tarball from ftp.samba.org/pub/samba/alpha (the latest is samba-2.2.0-alpha1.tar.[gz|bz2]) and read docs/textdocs/PRINTER_DRIVER2.txt Cheers, jerry ---------------------------------------------------------------------- /\ Gerald (Jerry) Carter Professional Services \/ http://www.valinux.com/ VA Linux Systems gcarter@valinux.com http://www.samba.org/ SAMBA Team jerry@samba.org http://www.plainjoe.org/ jerry@plainjoe.org "...a hundred billion castaways looking for a home." - Sting "Message in a Bottle" ( 1979 )
