samba - Nov 2000 - ERROR: Failed to initialise share modes

i got the following problem:
[root@sun samba]# tail log.smb
[2000/11/28 16:20:16, 0] locking/locking.c:locking_init(174)
  ERROR: Failed to initialise share modes
[2000/11/28 16:20:29, 0] locking/shmem_sysv.c:sysv_shm_open(667)
  Can't create or use IPC area. Error was Die Datei existiert bereits

"Die Datei existiert bereits" is german for "File already
exists" and
in this case means "I wanted to create/initialise some shared memory 
and my key was already in use". Maybe you killed one smbd with -9, it 
dumped or you found another unclean way to terminate smbd.

Either use ipcs and ipcrm to clean up or take the windoze way: reboot.
