samba - Sep 2000 - can samba be an NT domain server for Win2k clients?

As the subject says:

I have a bunch of Win 2000 Professional clients which I would like to
serve with a samba unix box. File wise (common share for home
directories and profiles) and domainserver wise as well.

Can samba serve as such?

The current Samba version (2.0.7) works okay for file and printer
sharing, but isn't able act as a domain logon server for W2K clients
yet.
