hi,
I have a problem - accounts and passwords on the computer running samba
and windows client are the same, but I'm getting a windows prompt:
Enter Network Password

You must supply a password to make this connection:
resource: \\linuf\ipc$
password:
------------------------
smbclient -U% -L localhost works fine
below is my smb.conf file:

# from UNKNOWN (127.0.0.1)

# Global parameters
[global]
workgroup = CONT
encrypt passwords = Yes
max log size = 50
load printers = No
preferred master = Yes
comment = Samba
[student]
comment = space 2
path = /usr/people/student
username = student
writeable = Yes
guest ok = Yes
p.s. I placed my subnet mask instead of my netmask in network configuration, but
this
shouldn't be a problem.[i think]
