Running Samba-2.0.7 in a Solaris-26 Ultra-2 box. Problem with Windows 2000. Win2K explorer crash when attempt to add "ACL" for a file which located in the NFS server. Have anyone see this problem or have a fix? Thanks! -Fredc
I have the same problem with 2.0.6 on a Solaris 2.7 (sparc) box and 2.0.6 on Linux. Happens for files on local disks as well as NFS. gcc 2.8.1 solaris gcc version egcs-2.91.66 19990314/Linux (egcs-1.1.2 release) Linux Incidently - I can't change the ACLs either - I get accessed denied even when I'm the owner of the file. /James Fred Chiu wrote:> > Running Samba-2.0.7 in a Solaris-26 Ultra-2 box. Win2K Expore crash when adding file ACL w/ Samba-2.0.7
Yes, it appears that Win2K makes new undocumented and unknown calls to the server, sometimes even trying to bind to unknown interfaces when adding ACLs to a file. We are working on handling this new Win2K behaviour and it should be working in the next release. Cheers, Shirish
