Hallo We have the following situation: Samba 2.0.5 on Solaris 2.7 sparc, using encrypt passwords. If the passwords on /etc/passwd and /usr/local/samba/private/smbpasswd are the 'same', the user have access over swat and can claim a drive from the samba server. Thats works fine. But if the user try to change the password, on the server in a shell or with swat, the smb daemon rejects the session. on the client side: machine 127.0.0.1 rejected the session setup. Error was : ERRSRV - ERRbadpw (Bad password - name/password pair in a Tree Connect or Session Setup are invalid.). in the smb.log: [2000/04/10 13:53:08, 1] smbd/reply.c:reply_sesssetup_and_X(898) Username is invalid on this system But this user has full access. Thanks in advance for any help. hendriks@inis.de admin@inis.de
