samba - Apr 2000 - 9 shares makes NT give RPC error

OK, this is bizarre.  I have 8 shares on a samba machine.  When I add a 
9th, all the NT Workstation 4.0 clients can no longer get the share list 
from the machine - it just pops up a dialog saying "A Remote Procedure 
(RPC) error occured."  If I take the 9th share out, it works 
again.  Windows 98 doesn't have any problems with 9 shares.

What's up with that?

thanks for the speedy reply.  i thought i was on 2.0.6, but i double 
checked based on your message, and of course, i had done everything except 
"make install".  d'oh!!

My guess is you are using a version of Samba 2.0.x earlier
than 2.0.6. This is a known issue, fixed by that release (at
the latest, maybe earlier, I'd have to check the release logs).

Upgrading should fix it. If you're already using 2.0.6 or a
2.0.7preX release and you have this problem then I'd like
to know about it asap.
