Greetings,
(I am reposting this email of mine, as I was informed that emails from the
domain 'iith.ac.in' are sometimes being marked as spam)
I am Aradhya Biswas, final year student of Computer Science and Engineering
at Indian Institute of technology Hyderabad (IITH), and as mentioned in my
previous email on the LLVM dev mailing list, I am interested to work

Active DNS registration on join realm?
Dear Samba members,
I am wondering if on joining a realm (with security=ADS), samba 3.x server
gets automatically registered with MS Dynamic DNS server. My test with Samba
3.0.14a on linux did not reveal any such capability. But may be because I
did not use the correct option? I would appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance,

omindex options
Hi.
I am writing a python equivalent of omindex (we are using scriptindex
currently - but I wanted to use omindex instead, and extend it to work with
our internal file format.. BUT did not want to compile code if possible...
so anyway).
I have tried to keep the code as close to possible to the omindex native
code, but am facing a bit of confusion: what exactly is the reason for
omindex to take

Generacion de binomiales correlacionadas
Buenas tardes,
variable respuesta _sigue_ una distribucion binomial, i.e., X_i
~Binomial(n_i, p_i), i=1,2 y que, por ahora,

No y-axis label using png on linux
Dear all,
I am grateful if anyone provides a solution to my problem of no y-axis
label using png on linux. If I use postscript device or X11 device, it
is fine. On Windows, it works with png. I have tried different versions
of R and none of them works.

Windows 2000 and Samba
I have a Samba server running on an AIX 4.4.3 RS6000 that has been serving
up files without problem. Recently, a pair of machines, both Windows 2000
Pro, haven't been able to gain access to any of the Samba resources on the
AIX server though they were both able to previously. Other WinNT and Win2k
machines can get to these shared resources fine, just not these two.
I haven't found anything

Box M test
Dear List
I am looking for a script that will calculate the Box M test to test the homogeneity of the variance/covariance matrix between two matrices.
If anyone could send me the script I would appreciate it.
I am aware of the scepticism about this test, where due to extreme sensitivity a p value of 0.01 is recommended. Despite this however Box's M test is the established

oggdropXPd quality selection problems
To those who have reported having a problem selecting real number quality
settings, could you kindly test the new compile you can d/l from:
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/jfe1205/testXPd.ZIP and report whether this
resolves the problem.
No major changes, but I regularised a number of type casting discrepancies
that could have been causing a problem.
I'm sorry to have to ask for help on this

help with cluster stopping rules
Is there a function available in R that implements Mojena's Upper Tail Rule or that draws a Mojena plot?
I would also like to find a function that implements Duda and Hart's stopping rule.
Finally with function cophenet how can I achieve a straightforward Cophenet correlation coefficient (i.e. one number for example 0.876) that gives the agreement between the structure of the

Multiple xyplots
Hi everyone,
I'm hoping you can give me some pointers. I have a requirement to draw
multiple (103) xy line plots onto one output device. Ideally the plots
should be displayed in a hexagonal grid (example at
www.maladmin.com/example.jpg). I can calculate the locations for each
waveform but am wondering how to create multiple plotting areas. I have
come accross references to a package grid

In place editing an empty field
I am trying to use the Scriptaculous InPlaceEditor and in some cases the
field will be empty. That is, the field currently has no value but the
user wants to enter a value.
The InPlaceEditor appears to not work in this case. Other identical
fields (except wit different ids and some value) do work.
I have tried using a nonbreaking space ( ), and this does cause the
editor to appear,
