Hi, I have Samba 2.0.5a running on several HP-UX 10.20 machines. (all different hardware and patchlevel). On one (and only one) of the machines i see at irregular intervals the next error: ERROR! Out of connection structures excerpt from the smb.log: engelber opened file desktop/Microsoft PowerPoint.lnk read=Yes write=No (numopen=7) [1999/12/20 13:19:59, 2] smbd/open.c:open_file(582) engelber opened file desktop/Microsoft Excel.lnk read=Yes write=No (numopen=8) [1999/12/20 13:19:59, 2] smbd/open.c:open_file(582) engelber opened file desktop/Microsoft Access.lnk read=Yes write=No (numopen=9) [1999/12/20 13:19:59, 2] smbd/open.c:open_file(582) engelber opened file desktop/logoff.lnk read=Yes write=No (numopen=10) [1999/12/20 13:19:59, 2] smbd/open.c:open_file(582) engelber opened file desktop/shortcuts/Telegids.lnk read=Yes write=No (numopen=11) [1999/12/20 13:19:59, 2] smbd/open.c:open_file(582) engelber opened file desktop/shortcuts/Picasso.lnk read=Yes write=No (numopen=12) [1999/12/20 13:19:59, 2] lib/access.c:check_access(258) Allowed connection from aona02 (161.85.250.14) [1999/12/20 13:19:59, 1] smbd/conn.c:conn_new(104) ERROR! But, as all samba machines are different hardware and patchlevel, i cannot easily tell which one. The samba release is exactly identical on all machines and the configuration is almost the same. On the one affected i did not completely disable oplocks, but used the oplock veto feature for some files instead. Any experiences with this particular error? Backgrounds?
