If I read this correctly you can map a drive to a share but cant see it in
Network Neighborhood, and that this is intermittent.
While Network Neighborhood is displaying the symptom, see if these display
the browse:
Linux:
smbclient -NL servername
Windows:
net view \\servername
Win9x
net view /workgroup:workgroupname
WinNT
net view /domain:workgroupname
Also, look thru log.nmb and see if your Samba server has become the subnet
browser. If not, problems with browsing are likely.
