samba - Nov 1999 - Problem with SWAT

Hi,

I have just installed Suse Linux 6.1 along with Samba version 2.0.3

I can ping the machine (192.168.1.10) and I can reach the Apache Webserver
with my browser. There are no specialties on 'Hosts deny' or 'Hosts
allow'.
Testparm does not report any errors either. But I cannot reach
192.168.1.10:901 with my browser to make shares etc. Can someone help me out
on this one?

hi all,

i've a problem with my swat...

i install the smb.conf with the vi editor and it work perfectly but when i 
use swat, i finish to install it then i save. At this time, i lose my 
computer in my network neighboord but when i make a search in my network, 
windows 95 find my samba server and their shares.

i don't understand what is the matter when swat.

anyone know this problem ?

I have some questions about SWAT.

(1) Is there a home page for the project?

(2) Where is there documentation?

(3) Why does the password page have two
sets of forms?

(4) On the password page, you can "add users"
but you can't list the users.  That doesn't 
make any sense at all.  How do you know if
someone added the user already?

 I have a problem whith swat. When I put my root password I obtain this:

 You must be authenticated to use this service

 I work on alpha system OSF 4.0D.

 Do you have an idee?

Hi my name is Luis. I have installed samba few days
ago, but i have a problem with swat.

when I put http://localhost:901 in my browser, it send
me this error "The document contain no data".

I have this entry in the /etc/services file

swat	901/tcp

and in the /etc/xinetd.conf file i have 
this 

includedir /etc/xinetd.d

and in this directory is the swat file
