One win98 client accesses linux server slower than the rest
I'm at my wits end. I've got a small network of win98 machines accessing a linux file server running RedHat 5.2. We're running Samba 1.9.18p10-3. All win98 machines can map to the shares on the linux box. However, one of them takes an EXTREMELY long time to browse/transfer files to the shares in windows explorer. As far as I can tell, the network set-up for this machine is exactly the same as the ones that browse/transfer the shares normally. This machine does have a parallel port Zip drive connected to it as well as a CD-RW drive, but I can't see how that would affect this. Any ideas on what might be the problem? Thanks. Tim
