Hello all I'd like to share the same directories (on the same smb file server) between two domains. I set up security = server I'd like (if it's possible) to avoid a NT trust between the two domains. Does anyone know a solution? Thanx Bruno PS: Don't know if it matters, I have samba version 2.0.3
Quoting Bruno Pallavera (bpallave@mil-co.it.dhl.com):> I'd like to share the same directories (on the same smb file server) > between two domains.Have you tried to set up the samba server with two "personalities" by using netbios aliases and includes? netbioas aliases=server1 server2 include=smb.conf.%L in smb.conf.server1 : security=server password server=PDC1 in smb.conf.server2 security=server password server=PDC2 Should work...but I din't try..:-) Then users of domain1 controlled by PDC1 will use shares on \\SERVER1 and users of domain2 will call \\SERVER2 I hope you got the point.
