samba - May 1999 - Benchmarks of Samba Vs. Network Appliance

Just wondering if anyone has found any benchmarks comparing Samba
against a Network Appliance of any make or size.  It's almost a
curiosity type thing to see how a dedicated appliance fares against
Linux & Samba or Irix & Samba... Thanks
