samba - Oct 1998 - Network caching

Hi there,

maybe a bit off topic: E.g. you save a file from your Win95 client to a
Samba server, then change it immediately and copy the file again to
server. Now take a look to the file - date and time are changed, but not
the contents. What happens there? I guess it's a problem with some
network cache somewhere. But is it a Windoze *feature* or Linux/Samba
related?
