samba - Oct 1998 - upgrade

Hi all,

How can I upgrade my samba-1.9.18p3 to samba-1.9.18p10?  I'm running
Solaris 2.6.

Hi,
Is it possible to install 2 versions of samba running on the same machine
and have them both attached to the same NT PDC?  I am planning on upgrading
Samba, but didn't want to interrupt the service while doing so, and wanted
to test out the new version anyway.

	You probably need to use a machine with two ethernet 
	cards, or one which supports "virtual" interfaces,
	so that each copy of samba has it's own ipaddress
	and port to bind to.

	I usually try out new versions on my workstation, and new
	configurations on a virtual server on the main machine.

I am currently running 2.0.x built from source.  I am trying to upgrade to 2.2.6
via rpms, but I keep getting error messages about failed dependencies.  I
downloaded every available rpm.  Most of the dependency errors begin with lib...
Do I have to uninstall the old version first?  Is there a more graceful way than
that, to upgrade via the rpms.
