Hi,
I've had reports of this for a while, and AutoDesk
have given me a copy of AutoCad 14 for Windows NT to try
and reproduce this but so far I've never been able to get
a reproducible test case for this (in fact I've never been
able to make it happen here :-( ).
I *really* want to nail this as I'd very much like AutoDesk
to commit to adding Samba on UNIX as one of their supported
platforms, so can you please mail me if you have a *completely
reproducible* test case (that's "completely reproducible"
within reason, ie. it happens enough so that I could see it
happen by running continuously with a debug level 10 log once
every 4-5 save attempts, not just once in a blue moon :-).
However I'm out as USENIX from today until June 25th so I
won't be able to take action on this one until I return.
I'll email all three of you when I return, and if you
could try and isolate the problem to a reproducible case
whilst I'm out that'd help a *lot*.
Thanks for your patience, lets *kill* this bug (even if it's
in AutoCad, not Samba, which may be possible as I've seen
some reports of the same problem with Novell servers :-) :-).
Regards,
Jeremy Allison.
Samba Team.
