I have not seen any info on this on the list, but has anyone had any luck with smbmount'ing from a linux box to a linux box? Note the following: static-nneul(3)>smbmount //saucer/nneul /mnt Password: static-nneul(5)>smbmount //samba01/nneul /mnt Password: Saucer and sambaXX are HP-UX 10.20 machines running 1.9.17a4 and 1.9.18p4 respectively. static-nneul(12)>smbmount //infinity/nneul /mnt Password: mount error: Invalid argument Please look at smbmount's manual page for possible reasons Infinity is a slackware 3.4 machine with 2.0.34 kernel running 1.9.18p4. Samba configuration of sambaXX and infinity are identical. Regular samba mounts to all the machines from PC's and smbclient work just fine. -- Nathan ------------------------------------------------------------ Nathan Neulinger EMail: nneul@umr.edu University of Missouri - Rolla Phone: (573) 341-4841 Computing Services Fax: (573) 341-4216
