User profiles (was Re: "domain groups") (fwd)

It's approach of attempting to keep 2 sets of files synchronised is a complete kludge. And rather pointless, it's quite possible to have the start menu on a network drive, even on a mapping which points to a network drive. However MicroSoft also "broke" regedit so that it will not work correctly in a login script. What it does is put up a check box to say it's changed the registary then waits for the user to click the OK button.
