-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I do not understand the context of your question. However, a networked rsync not using --whole-file will do a delta xfer if it sees a difference in mtime or file size. The fact that the file was deleted and recreated vs modified while rsync was not running means nothing to rsync. Hi, Thanks for the reply. I don't understand why I sent so many message.. can be my outlookJ.. sorry again It seems very strange that I write before but it was that happen to me. I have a remote application that every 3 hours recreate the file x that the first time will be moved to destination , the next time I running rsync on the client I see that a .partial file will be recreated reading the new "x1" file that in mean time has been recreated. Please note that "x1" has the same name but mtime and size different compare to x that are on destination. Also I put -vv on line of the client and it said delta transfer enabled. but it copy all the whole file.. Please note that I not delete and rebuid the file the delta transfer works fine. No idea?
