That number seems too large, though it is late at night. Where do you
see it?
What do you mean by "scp through rsync"? rsync over ssh?

This is fixed in rsync 2.4.7pre1 and in CVS. The descriptions could
be better, though. Look in cvsweb at rsync.1 if you like.
