Just a bit more input:
I installed
mod_ssl/2.6.2
and
OpenSSL/0.9.5
The keys are generated and I got a test certificate
the https://mybox.mudomain.com works.
Cheers

Subject: Running name based VirtualHost
Hi
I have just joined the list.
I am setting a secure server [ Apache 1.3.12] and run RH6.2
I am having problems configuring the https stuff with VirtualHost
I have changed /etc/hosts to include the pairs ip/domain
I also added in httpd.conf.ssl
NameVirtualHost theserverip
Questions:
1 - Is the httpd.conf or the httpd.conf.ssl I need to configure to enable
the virtual hosts
when running secure servers
https://secvirhost1.domain.com
https://secvirhost2.domain.com
https://secvirhost3.domain.com
2 - reading the archives I saw someone mentioning:
/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpsd status
Is the secure server needs a different daemon than the standard httpd?
I''ll appreciate if you could send me some example conf files.
Many Thanks in advance.
Regards.
