Rails spinoffs - Apr 2008 - interactive javascript console?

Are there any good interactive javascript consoles?  Any that can load
libraries like prototype or script.aculo.us?

Of course what I really want is an interactive console that can talk
to the DOM, but I''ll take what I can get.

Way back when I used cscript on windows, but that seems very limiting.

The firebug addon for Firefox has a console built into it and allows
interacting with the DOM:
