Rails spinoffs - Mar 2008 - on performance

i''m trying to optimize the performance of sliders and transparent
draggables while using ie7 and 6.
quite frustrating to see something be soo smooth in FF and stutter
like crazy in ie :)
any good links or tips, which could help me in the right direction?
