Prototype Ajax.Updater function, browser will not update the IE7
Hi , iam using prototype1.6.0
When using the Prototype Ajax.Updater function, browser will not
update the div with the data returned from the server.
where as in mozilla browser its working fine.but IE7 failed to give
responsetext.
For $(receiver):
In case of Mozilla giving alert as : [object HTMLSpanElement]
In case of IE7 giving alert as : [object]
Based on these values receiver is updated.
following codesnippet executed
if (receiver = $(receiver)) {
if (options.insertion) {
if (Object.isString(options.insertion)) {
var insertion = { }; insertion[options.insertion] responseText;
receiver.insert(insertion);
}
else options.insertion(receiver, responseText);
}
else receiver.update(responseText);
}
if (receiver = $(receiver)) condition is getting failed so we are
unable to get the responseText to content_span in IE7,
where as in mozilla its working fine.
Please help on this ASAP.
Regards,
Nagarjun.

Re: Prototype Ajax.Updater function, browser will not update the IE7
Can''t realy figure out what you''re trying to do but
I''m guessing you
want to insert into a DOM object with id=reciever?
Tried this?
if (receiver = $(''receiver''))
Anyways if that didnt help include the whole function and the call to
update.
