[Rails-spinoffs] expert advice needed - prototype.js vs. x library
Hello, I''m looking for some expert advice since I''m quite a newbie when it comes to programming. I realized that a lot of people(programs) are using the prototype.js and honestly, I cannot see why. Right, prototype has some nice AJAX support but it is lacking a documentation. I recently came accross cross-browser.com and saw their xlibrary - to me it seems that xlibrary offers a lot more useful dhtml functions and basically only lacks AJAX support - the documentation and examples are excellent. So, I''m kind of struggling which library to use - prototype or xlibrary - I would appreciate if I could get some qualified input, pros and cons that would help me to make up my mind.
