Quantitative Health Risk Analysis Consultant Position open until filled Location: Boulder, CO We are a Colorado-based specialist risk and decision modeling consulting and research firm, with diverse experience and skills, including in the fields of human and veterinary health and epidemiology. We are currently seeking to fill a full-time position as a Quantitative Health Risk Analysis Consultant, to participate in quantitative risk analysis projects related to food safety, antimicrobial resistance, disease spread & prevention, and health outcomes research. Responsibilities: . Quantitative model framing, development, review, and interpretation . Write reports and peer-reviewed scientific articles . Facilitation of meetings and presentations to clients, both in oral and written form . Regular interactions with clients and with EpiX consultants Requirements: . PhD or equivalent experience in the probabilistic modeling of health risks. This might include degrees in epidemiology, toxicology, or related quantitative field. Applicants with an MSc degree but with exceptional proven equivalent expertise might be considered . At least 2 years of working experience in probabilistic risk assessments, including exposure and dose response assessments . Experience with Monte Carlo simulation and/or other simulation modeling methods . Ability to demonstrate creative and applied thinking . Excellent and demonstrable communication skills, both oral and in written . Ability to work independently, with little direct supervision, as well as to collaborate in teams of consultants within EpiX and with clients . Ability to deliver on time and under tight deadlines . Proof of work eligibility in the United States Desired qualifications . Working knowledge of the R statistical language, Excel's VBA and/or other statistical programming environments . Experience with Excel Monte Carlo simulation Add-ins (e.g. @RISK, Crystal Ball, RiskSolver) . Experience working in a private/consulting environment What we offer? .
