Quantitative Risk and Decision Analysis Consultant Position open until filled Location: Boulder, CO We are currently looking for a motivated and talented consultant in Quantitative Risk and Decision Analysis who desires to use quantitative skills to make a difference in real-life problems. Responsibilities: - Framing and scoping of projects, and proposing of appropriate analytical approaches - Quantitative model development, review and interpretation - Facilitation of meetings and presentations to clients, both in oral and written form - Ability to work independently with little direct supervision, as well as collaborate in teams of consultants within EpiX and with clients - Generation of business leads from existing and new clients Requirements: - PhD in operations research, applied statistics or equivalent quantitative field. Applicants with a MSc. degree but with exceptional proven equivalent expertise might be considered - At least 4 years of working experience in quantitative modeling - Capable of creative and applied thinking - Excellent and demonstrable communication skills, both oral and in written - Ability to deliver on time and under tight deadlines - Provide proof of work eligibility in the United States Desired qualifications: - Knowledge and experience of advanced optimization techniques, including stochastic optimization - Demonstrable experience using decision-analysis approaches and applying these techniques in real-life decision-problems - Experience with Monte Carlo simulation and/or other simulation modeling methods - Advanced working knowledge of the R statistical language, Excel's VBA and/or other statistical programming environments - Experience with Monte Carlo simulation Add-ins to Excel (e.g. @RISK, Crystal Ball, RiskSolver) - Experience working in a private/consulting environment - Experience in business development What we offer? - Exciting consulting engagements while working with a diverse, informal and collaborative team - Frequent direct contact with clients, and opportunities to lead client engagements - Good work-life balance in beautiful Colorado - Competitive salary - Paid vacation, 401(K), paid sick-time and paid professional development Founded in 2003, EpiX Analytics provides pragmatic answers to decision makers using sound quantitative methods.
