[R-sig-Debian] R 4.3.1 on Debian bullseye-cran40 repository
Hello, Although R 4.3.1 has been released some days ago, and in http://cloud.r-project.org/bin/linux/debian/ it is claimed that Debian bullseye has been released with R 4.0.4. If you want to upgrade to R 4.3.1 on bullseye, you can use the following repository. deb http://cloud.r-project.org/bin/linux/debian bullseye-cran40/ it seems that it is not working yet. Yesterday, after `apt update`, `apt upgrade` only a couple of r core packages were upgraded (matrix and some other), but R version was yet 4.3.0. Further, searching 4.3.1 in http://cloud.r-project.org/bin/linux/debian/bullseye-cran40/ it shows that there is only an i386 build, while in http://cloud.r-project.org/bin/linux/debian/bookworm-cran40/ there are various amd64 builds. Is this expected? Thanks! Iago [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Each of these 'binary ports' has a maintainer, for Debian it is Johannes who is active on this list and whom you could have contacted directly too. I am sure he will take a closer look. Thanks for pointing it out. Dirk -- dirk.eddelbuettel.com | @eddelbuettel | edd at debian.org

The amd64 binaries for bullseye are on their way to CRAN, if I am not mistaken they should be fetched by CRAN at 18:00 my time, i.e. in three hours.
