R help - Apr 2001 - fonts and platforms

Dear All,

does anyone know why on one platform I have a Times New Roman font and
another Arial (for graphics plots). I cannot find any reference to font
selection via par(), cex() or options(), other than bold =2 etc,

Can anyone calrify this form me so that I can acheive a modicum of
homogeneity. is it perhaps a question of versions ?

The choice of font is up to the graphics driver.  Conceivably your
platforms are using different drivers.

The postscript() driver should be consistent across platforms, as far
as I know; you might want to produce your plots using that, rather
than producing them on screen and using dev.print.
