I try to compile R-1.1.1 on IRIX 6.5.8 using "cc" and "fort77". When trying to build the "R.bin" I get a lot of unresolved text symbol messages - here are some: Unresolved text symbol "Rf_digamma" -- 1st referenced by arithmetic.o. Unresolved text symbol "Rf_trigamma" -- 1st referenced by arithmetic.o. Unresolved text symbol "R_FindSymbol" -- 1st referenced by dotcode.o. Unresolved text symbol "Rf_InitFunctionHashing" -- 1st referenced by main.o. Unresolved text symbol "R_load_X11_shlib" -- 1st referenced by ../unix/libunix.a(system.o). Unresolved text symbol "R_load_gnome_shlib" -- 1st referenced by ../unix/libunix.a(system.o). Unresolved text symbol "Rstd_read_history" -- 1st referenced by ../unix/libunix.a(system.o). ... and a lot more coming from libunix.a Does anybody know a solution ?
