R help - Jan 1999 - Problems running 'R' on Windows-2000

Do you know of common problems running 'R' on Windows-2000 Pro?  For
some
reason, the program crashes every time I try to start 'R'

No.
Does the crash still occur when you start R with:
  RGui --vanilla

I guess it is something with your Rprofile or workspace that goes wrong.
