R help - Jan 1999 - Invalid tag in name extraction

Hi,

I've been trying to run a rather long MCMC simulation using R.
Unfortunately, I keep getting an error "Error: invalid tag in name
extraction" which halts the execution.  

I'll try to track down exactly where this is occuring, but it is not
consistent, so it is difficult to isolate.  Any ideas?
