libg2c is part of the g77 fortran runtime package in gcc 3.x. You probably
have gcc 4.x (which has a new/different fortran frontend
called gfortran) when you upgrade to mandriva 10.2 .
You probably need to rebuild R with gcc 4.x, or downgrade your
compiler suites back to gcc 3.x.
