I'm just emailing to say great work, and to put in a suggestion for
something
I've wanted to see for a long time: multiline comments or some equivalent.
It's not something that makes or breaks my experience with R, but something
I've
often wanted, and something I think prevents me from commenting more in my R
code.
I know I could tinker with an editor and get the same results by adding a # to
each line, but sometimes such a thing isn't possible, and I would like it
natively handled in R.
Seeing as how R comments look like other scripting language comments (e.g.,
Perl), some similar POD convention involving = might be good; e.g.,
=begin
=end
or
##=
or something like that.
Anyway, just a wish. Not going to be horribly sad or anything. Just putting it
out there.
