[Rd] default symbol in plots changed in R-Devel for windows
I did some test on WinXP and of course one of these was compiling and starting R (good "news": It works). To my surprise the default plotting character changed from the well known empty circle to a black *FILLED* circle in the windows and bitmap devices, but not so on the postscript and pdf devices. Taking a closer look to more symbols shows that some symbols changed from filled to unfilled ones and others from unfilled to filled. Is this intended or just a fact the status "in development" of R-1.4.0? Or maybe it is an interaction with the changes on transparent backgrounds? It happens with R Version 1.4.0 Under development (unstable) (2001-11-25) on Windows NT 4.0 (SP6) and Windows XP, but not so on Solaris. This is a known transitory bug, which I found late yesterday. You'll find R_ALPHA at one place in your devga.c. Change it to R_OPAQUE. We've been having some problems as a result of extensive graphics changes from Paul. If tonight's snapshot works correctly, it will have this fixed.
