R devel - Dec 2000 - unlink() is not synchronized with existing connections

BTW: this may be considered as a special case of a more general thing: 
undefined rights to modify/access connections owned by other parts of the
software

Jens, could you please avoid mailing to r-devel *and* r-bugs. R-bugs
are automagically forwarded to r-devel with the PR# added, so

a) we get it in duplicate
b) if anyone follows up to the version without the PR# we will
	1) get that in duplicate too
	2) get a *new* PR# for the follow up

(There are bugs enough, no need to multiply them...)
