As the 0.65 release should happen within the next few weeks, now would be a good time for updating/improving our impressive collection of add on packages. Issues to look look into include: * Valid and complete DESCRIPTION, TITLE and INDEX files. * Complete data/00Index files (if applicable). * All examples should be executable to that R CMD check passes. * src/Makefile (if there, most likely not needed) should be correct (FLIBS etc). Follow the etc/Makeconf rules ... Minor issues: * The formatting of TITLE files is still not consistent. Please follow the format of the add-ons in the R distribution. * It would be nice if compilation with `-Wall' would not give any warnings ... * Please watch the Rdconv messages when building the help files from the Rd sources, and try to fix problems with missing links. Note that Fritz is planning on extending the \link{} command so that it can point to an entry in a different package, but this is still WIP. * Note that INSTALL now runs configure and cleanup scripts. If your package needs something that may not be available, then please use configure. Package e1071 may serve as an example. Fritz and I are planning on writing a script that automates the process of building CORRECT packages. But again, WIP ... I am looking forward to all improvements ... -k PS. I know Adrian Trapletti is planning a new version of tseries that works with 0.65's ts, when that is final. -- Brian D. I will update tseries as soon as the official ts in R-0.65 is released, i.e., remove the already implemented functions and so on. I already have some new functions such as White's and Terasvirta's test for neglected non-linearity and a few other useful routines will be implemented such as Johanson's VAR methodology, i.e. we can remove the old tseries and I will post the new version as soon I have finished my work.
