In general, it is useful. It's especially the smaller things that we
tend to overlook. The best place to send them is the R-devel list,
though - if you send them to a single person they may get lost. E.g.
significance stars are really Martin Maechlers pet. (I'll Cc: this
particular note to R-devel).
