qemu discuss - May 2007 - qemu on solaris 10 x86: sound in skype?

hello all,
i''m using qemu from SUNWqemu 0.8.2, on my ultra 20 solaris 10 U2.
I installed debian etch in qemu, and it works like a charm.
Then i installed skype, and launch:
ultra20-henry% /opt/SUNWqemu/bin/qemu -hda ubuntu.img -m 320 -soundhw all
Error -1 while initializing QEMU acceleration layer - disabling it for now
audio: Failed to create voice `es1370.adc''
audio: Failed to create voice `es1370.adc''
audio: Failed to create voice `es1370.adc''

When i test skype (Skype Test Call), i don''t hear anything... and i
don''t know if my voice is recorded

Do i have a chance that this configuration work?

the 0.9.0 CVS code is much more safe.  There are many bug fixes
and better solaris support.  Recently support was added for 
OSS sound system, which IME, is much better than the Sun Audio
support done through SDL.

The new 0.9.0-CVS code can support kqemu all the way
back to Solaris 9/x86 (I haven''t tested 8/x86, but in theory
it should work).

typical for SunAudio.

I''m not sure that bidirectional audio is support with
stock Sun audio.  There is a better chance that it
is supported with OSS audio.

maybe.  but  I think you''re better off with later code.

Also try a BrandZ with OSS, that might work a whole lot better...
