Hello! I''m trying to create directories like these (this is using a proftpd module that is working properly except when special characters are involved): proftpd::user{ "proftpd-user-add-someuser": username => ''*****'', password => ''*****'', homedir => "/var/www/sites/somesite.abc.com/current/Abc Åän öö", createhomedir => true, require => File ["/var/www/sites/somesite.abc.com/current"] } As you can see, the directory names contain both spaces and special characters. The directories get created and all but I''m unsure as to what encoding they''re in... I''m currently moving from an old "manual" server setup to a puppet controlled one, so I have to recreate some things from the old one, but when rsyncing the old to the new I notice that file names don''t match up when puppet has created them. I''m really not very knowledgeable when it comes to unicode and utf8 in the filesystem so if anyone could enlighten me I''d be happy. Thanks! /John --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group.
