Hi all, I just wanted to follow up on Digant''s job posting. We''re still a pretty small community, and one of the big things that defines us as a community is that we''re all pretty consistently committed to this idea of using tools to make our lives easier. I think it makes a lot of sense to attempt to look for both jobs and employees within the community, as each type of hunt is a lot more likely to meet success within this already-selected community. I''ve already told people individually that job postings are ok, and it''ll stay that way until people start abusing it (e.g., recruiters joining the list just to post jobs) or the job postings get too frequent because our community becomes so healthy. My goal is to build a job board eventually, so it''ll be easy for people to share and search job postings, because I think it''s important to make it easy for people interested and skilled in this subfield to stay within it and continue to help the community forward, but I''m not going to bother with the job board until we''ve had some success helping people find employees or employment. So, post away for the foreseeable future. -- I have learned to use the word ''impossible'' with the greatest caution. -- Wernher von Braun --------------------------------------------------------------------- Luke Kanies | http://reductivelabs.com | http://madstop.com
