NYC Ruby Job Fair ‹ April 25th
=== NYC Ruby Job Fair -- April 25th The NYC Ruby meetings lately have looked a lot like middle school dances. On one side of the room is people saying, "Gee, I wish I could work full-time doing Ruby or Ruby on Rails." On the other side of the room are companies saying, "Wow, those Ruby people sure look cute, I wish they would all come work for me." The music is playing, the

New Feature: External node sources
Hi all, As requested by at least one person (and because I''d been thinking about it and figured it would be a good idea), I''ve just made it simple to use external node sources with Puppet. If you set ''external_nodes'' to a command (the default is ''none''), then Puppet will call that command and use it to configure nodes. The output of

Slight 0.22.2 backward compatibility reporting problem
Hi all, Turns out there''s a small backward compatibility problem in 0.22.2. If you''ve got clients in older versions sending reports to a daemon running the newer version, you''ll run into a problem because I renamed the Puppet::Metric class to Puppet::Util::Metric. I''ve committed a fix to svn, but it''s not a big enough problem to require a new

Could not describe errors
Hello community, We are running puppetmaster 0.22.3 with 45 servers attached and we are seeing a lot of messages that say: (err): Could not describe /ssh/sshd_config.RedHat: End of file reached: We were seeing a lot of this with 0.22.1 as well. Would a job posting be ok for this list?
We are hiring a VoIP developer. Would it be within the list guidelines to post a position description? Not sure if that's in the scope of this list, but does not match asterisk-biz either. -kkm

Documentation conventions
I think some conventions are in order to help with the documentation work. (1) As suggested by someone else earlier, I think we need a clear way to mark areas needing fixes with FIXMEs. (2) Topics under discussion or drafting should indicate such, perhaps at the top of the document, with a reference to the thread. On page comments should have a clearly designated area at the bottom of the

[LLVMdev] Assertion failure in tablegen: rationale ?
While I'm at it, I noticed a behaviour which is not exactly related but similar. To put it simply, you can 't do T.V.W, you need to do !cast<Bla>(T.V).W Example: class Bla<string t> { string blu = t; } class Bli<Bla t> { Bla bla = t; } def a : Bli<Bla<"">>; def b : Bla<!cast<Bla>(a.bla).blu>; // works def b :
